Abstract: ABSTRACT A Multi-functional Hybrid Sandwich Composite for aerospace vehicle [0052] The invention provides a multi-functional hybrid sandwich composite (100) that is used as aerospace structural material comprising plurality of face sheets disposed on the extremities, a core sheet (11) that is sandwiched between the face sheets, and plurality of insulation sheets that are disposed on either side of the core sheet (11) such that it there is an insulation layer between a face sheet (10) and the core sheet (11). Each face sheet (10) and insulation sheet (12) is made of PANI/epoxy composite and neat epoxy, respectively. The core sheet (11) is made of composites comprising carbon fiber reinforced metal oxide nanoparticles suspended in a base matrix. A process of fabrication of hybrid sandwich composite (100) comprising the steps of fabrication of face sheet (10) with synthesized PANI/epoxy composite, fabrication of core sheet (11) with carbon fibre reinforced CuO-AC/Fe3O4/epoxy composite, fabrication of the insulation sheet (12) with neat epoxy and final fabrication using hand lay method.
