Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent document research assistant system for academic knowledge management using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), multi-agent orchestration, and optical character recognition (OCR). The system addresses information overload faced by students and researchers by integrating multiple content formats including textbooks, research papers, handwritten notes, and digital documents within a unified platform. A multi-agent architecture coordinated through a control server performs document ingestion, semantic embedding, vector storage, intelligent retrieval, summarization, test generation, performance analysis, and multimedia recommendation. Handwritten notes are digitized using a fine-tuned transformer-based OCR model to convert them into searchable text. Retrieved information is processed through a RAG-based framework to generate context-aware responses with improved factual reliability. The system further supports adaptive test generation, personalized feedback, and learning analytics to identify knowledge gaps. The invention enhances academic research efficiency and personalized educational support by combining multimodal document processing, semantic search, and adaptive learning mechanisms.
