The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Abstract: A novel modular jig system comprising a rectangular metal base plate integrated with a precision-aligned mesh and four perpendicular retentive stand extensions. The device allows for standardized and reproducible testing of the shear bond strength between metal frameworks (e.g., titanium or Co-Cr) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or other dental resins. The jig can be mounted in a universal testing machine for direct shear force application at the metal-resin interface. The design mimics clinical retentive configurations and is intended for in vitro analysis of prosthodontic material bonding behavior under simulated conditions. The present invention introduces a novel, modular, and clinically relevant jig assembly for standardized shear bond strength testing between metal prosthetic frameworks and acrylic resin materials. By incorporating realistic retentive features, precise alignment, and reproducible geometry, the invention addresses the limitations of existing flat-surface testing models. The system enhances the reliability, validity, and translational value of in vitro bonding studies, making it a valuable tool for academic research, material development, and regulatory testing in prosthodontics
