Abstract: The present invention relates to a mouth opening measurement device which is disclosed for controlled assessment of mandibular mobility in clinical and rehabilitative settings. The device comprises a main body with a pair of intraoral flanged arms actuated by a screw-driven mechanism to gradually open the mouth while maintaining patient comfort. A displacement sensor and electronic control unit determine and display real-time mouth opening distance, in millimeters, and duration for which a selected opening level is maintained. The system includes user-programmable thresholds, a timing module that automatically starts when the target opening is reached, and an alert unit that generates audible and/or visual signals at the endpoint. An automatic release mechanism then returns the flanged arms toward a resting position in a controlled manner, enhancing safety. The device thus provides an integrated, objective tool for simultaneous measurement of mouth opening distance and endurance for dental, maxillofacial, physiotherapy, and research applications.
