Abstract: ABSTRACT MOTOR HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM WITH EDGE-BASED MACHINE LEARNING AND DIGITAL TWIN A motor health monitoring system (100) comprises a microcontroller (102) and sensors (104) communicatively coupled to the microcontroller (102), the sensors (104) comprising a temperature sensor (106), current sensor (108), vibration sensor (110), and speed sensor (112) configured to acquire sensor data from a motor (114). A machine learning classifier (116) deployed on the microcontroller (102) receives the sensor data and classifies a motor state into a plurality of fault states. A digital twin module (118) executes on the microcontroller (102) in parallel with the machine learning classifier (116), computes expected sensor values based on a physics-based model of the motor (114), and generates residual values representing deviations between measured and expected sensor values. A motor control module (120) applies a graduated pulse width modulation speed control response to the motor (114) based on the classified motor state, executing locally independent of network connectivity.
