MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527114211 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric Mobility Corporation on November 20, 2025, for Motor Control Device, Electric Power Steering Device, And Vehicle.
Inventor includes Natsuhara Hiroya.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: A motor control device according to the present disclosure comprises: an inverter circuit having a plurality of high-potential-side switching elements, a plurality of low- potential-side switching elements, and a plurality of current sensors; an electric power control unit that controls the plurality of high-potential-side switching elements and the plurality of low-potential-side switching elements on the basis of a duty value; and an abnormality detection unit that compares a first threshold with the sum of current values of a plurality of phases detected using the plurality of current sensors when the plurality of low-potential-side switching elements are in an electroconductive state, thereby detecting an abnormality, and determines a failure on the basis of the number of times an abnormality has been detected. The abnormality detection unit compares the first threshold value with the sum of the current values for each first cycle, which is a cycle for detecting the current values, generates a limit duty value in which the duty value is limited to or below a predetermined upper limit value in the electric power control unit when an abnormality is detected by using the comparison, and causes the electric power control unit to perform a duty limit process for controlling the plurality of high-potential-side switching elements and the plurality of low-potential-side switching elements on the basis of the limit duty value.
