Abstract: MOSQUITO EGG AND LARVAE DESTROYER A mosquito egg and larva destroyer apparatus is disclosed that interrupts the mosquito life cycle by mechanically collecting and eliminating eggs and larvae from breeding water. The apparatus comprises a primary water tank that attracts oviposition, a central outlet with electromagnetic valve, a filter cartridge (50-100 µm mesh) that captures eggs (~0.5 mm) and larvae (1-5 mm), a sealed collection tank preventing secondary breeding, a submersible pump for closed-loop water recycling, and a programmable time valve automating drainage and return cycles at preset intervals (e.g., 12-48 hours). Optional aroma diffuser enhances attraction, and an AC grid may provide supplementary adult control. Field trials across multiple high-density sites demonstrated consistent capture of 18-84 eggs/larvae per inspection cycle under varied temperatures (24-31°C) and humidity (65-89%), confirming efficacy, enablement, and practicality of the chemical-free, automated, scalable design for residential, institutional, and public vector control. The invention offers cost-effective, user-friendly source reduction superior to adult-focused or chemical methods.
