Abstract: A mortar removal assistive device comprises of, an L-shape body 101 having first and second portion 103, a handle 104 is configured on first portion 102 gripped by a user to position second end over in proximity to a brick, a pair of rubberized wheels 105 are positioned at second end to allow user to move body 101 over bricks, an imaging unit 106 installed on body 101 and integrated with a processor to determine precise location of a mortar joint between bricks, a motorized spring-loaded linear actuator 107 installed at second end to rotate and remove excess mortar from joint, a pair of L-shape telescopic rods 109 installed over body 101 and configured with a vibration absorption plate 110 to prevent damage to bricks during removal of mortar, a motorized vacuum unit 111 installed over second end to extract and collect loosened mortar debris.
