Inventors include Ashok Raj; Dr. M. Rajasekaran; Mr. R. Satheesh Kumar; Dr. K. Madhan; Mr. M. Prasanna; Mr. R. Nagaraja; Dr. A. Vembathurajesh; and Dr. T. Jayakumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention is related to an AI- and IoT-based intelligent vehicle speed-limit monitoring and remote family intimation system. It includes a unit for collecting speed data, a GPS/ GNSS unit, a processing unit, an AI-based risk-analysis unit, a warning interface unit and an IoT communication unit. Overspeeding is detected and analysed by monitoring and analyzing vehicle speed and location to determine any unsafe overspeeding by factors of speed, duration, acceleration pattern and location. If an unsafe-speed condition is detected, the rider/ driver is warned. An automatic alert is sent to registered family members or guardians through the IoT, automatically alerting them with vehicle speed, location, time and risk status if the condition continues or reaches a pre-programmed risk threshold. The invention can be used in two- wheelers, cars and other motor vehicles to enhance road safety.
