Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring circularity in a circular textile value chain. The method includes a step of receiving (110), from a data consumer, a request for information from or accessible via at least a part of a digital twin (10) for a textile item (272), the request including a digital identifier to identify the digital twin, wherein the digital twin includes or provides access to data associated with textile waste associated with the textile item. If it is determined, in a corresponding determination step (115), that the requested information or at least a part thereof is to be provided to the data consumer, a step of providing (125) the same to the data consumer or of providing the data consumer, via the digital twin, with access to the same follows. The presented method allows for a sustainable textile value chain.
