Abstract: The present disclosure provides mold mounting assembly (13) for blow molding setup (100) and method for mounting bottom molds (1). The mold mounting assembly includes a movement rod comprising an upper part (5) and a lower part (6), wherein the upper part and the lower part freely rotate with respect to each other. The mold mounting assembly comprises a fastening member (7) configured to axially couple the upper part and the lower part; a transverse coupling member (9) operatively associated with the movement rod and configured to engage at least one of: a first mold fix plate (3) and a second mold fix plate (4); and a locking member (8) configured to restrict radial displacement of the upper part. A clearance gap (G) is defined between the upper part and the lower part to permit controlled relative movement therebetween during mounting or alignment of bottom molds.
