The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a modulator-assisted mechanochemical synthesis of triazine-rich covalent organic frameworks (TRTT). The process comprises mixing 2,4,6-tris-(4-formyl phenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine with 4-chloroaniline and p-toluenesulfonic acid, adding 2,4,6-tris-(4-amino phenyl)-1,3,5-triazine, and subjecting the mixture to liquid-assisted mechanochemical grinding in the presence of methanol to form an imine-linked porous framework. The modulator-assisted synthesis promotes formation of a crystalline triazine-rich covalent organic framework comprising interconnected triazine units and imine linkages. The obtained framework is purified and incorporated onto a conductive electrode substrate through a coating process to form a framework-modified electrode. The synthesized framework exhibits a porous crystalline architecture, microporous structure, and enhanced framework ordering. The invention provides a rapid mechanochemical route for producing triazine-rich covalent organic frameworks and electroactive electrode compositions incorporating the same.
