Abstract: A modular sofa cover system, a protection panel and a method are disclosed. The system has independently detachable seat, armrest and backrest panels, each of a multilayer textile with a comfort layer, a liquid-barrier layer and an anti-slip base layer, attachable by a concealed attachment mechanism comprising an elastic channel and a concealed fastener. At least one panel has a localized soiling-indicator zone that undergoes a visible change on exposure to moisture. The concealed attachment and the anti-slip layer cooperate to retain each panel against shifting while permitting removal of a single panel, and the indicator reveals soiling so only the affected panel is washed or replaced, reducing water and textile waste. The comfort layer is a recycled-cotton, recycled-polyester and natural-fibre blend, the barrier layer a bio- based polyurethane membrane, and the base layer a recycled-polyester grip.
