Abstract: ABSTRACT: TITLE: MODULAR PLASTIC MOULDING SYSTEM FOR SEMI-SOLID STATE PROCESSING OF RECYCLED PLASTICS A plastic moulding system and method for manufacturing products from waste thermoplastic materials are disclosed. The system comprises a plastic processing unit with a hopper, an insulated heating chamber equipped with an induction-based copper coil for uniform melting, and an injection chamber configured for gravity-driven discharge of molten plastic. A conveyor system transports mould boxes along a predefined path, while a hydraulic press unit with a double-acting cylinder compresses semi-solid plastic using interchangeable tools. A programmable logic controller (PLC) integrates sensors and actuators to automate and synchronize process parameters including temperature, fill level, timing, and pressure. Molten plastic is partially filled into mould boxes, allowed to cool to a semi-solid state, and then compressed to form desired products. The system operates in a cyclic and parallel manner, enabling simultaneous filling, cooling, and pressing. It supports multiple thermoplastics without pre-pelletization, ensuring efficient, flexible, and defect-minimized production.
