Abstract: A modular patient supporting and shifting assistive device, comprising a rectangular platform 101 having plurality of motorized wheels 102 for maneuvering platform 101 over ground surface, an imaging unit 103 to detect presence of a patient present, an ultrasonic sensor to detect body dimensions of patient, a pair of hydraulic rods 104 configured on lateral sides and configured with an inverted L-shaped plate 105 to position plates 105 around waist portion of patient, a pair of pin joints 106 configured between each rod 104 and plate 105 to provide optimum movement to plates 105 for positioning plates 105 underneath thighs and buttocks of patient, plurality of electromagnets 108 configured on ends of plates 105 to establish plate 105 for accommodating patient, an impact sensor to detect shock experienced over platform 101, an electromagnetic spring 109 configured between platform 101 and each of rods 104 for absorbing sudden impacts.
