Abstract: ABSTRACT MODULAR INTERLOCKING SPORTS FLOORING TILE The present invention provides a modular interlocking sports flooring tile (100) including an upper playing surface (102), a lattice support structure (118) disposed beneath the upper playing surface (102), a peripheral reinforcement frame (104), and an interlocking connection system (112). The upper playing surface (102) and the lattice support structure (118) are both formed from a polymer composition including polypropylene, a thermoplastic elastomer, natural rubber, and an oil. The peripheral reinforcement frame (104) bounds the lattice support structure (118). Further, the interlocking connection system (112) is disposed along edges of the peripheral reinforcement frame (104). The interlocking connection system (112) includes stepped male locking projections (116) that engage with an adjacent flooring tile via female locking recesses (114). The stepped male locking projections (116) and the female locking recesses (114) are designed with interlocking hook- shaped geometry for establishing a detachable mechanical connection with the adjacent flooring tile.
