Abstract: The present invention relates to a modular impact-resistant road protection cover for temporary deployment in construction zones to prevent damage to existing road surfaces caused by heavy vehicles, machinery and construction materials. The invention comprises reusable interlocking panels formed from recycled polymer composite material. Each panel includes a top protective layer, an intermediate reinforcement layer and a ribbed load distribution layer configured to absorb impact energy and uniformly distribute applied loads. The panels further comprise interlocking edge portions for rapid installation and removal without additional fastening mechanisms. The composite material preferably includes recycled plastic waste, mineral fillers, rubber crumbs and binding resin to provide high compressive strength, flexibility and environmental sustainability. The invention provides improved road protection, reduced maintenance costs, reusability and eco-friendly utilization of plastic waste compared to conventional steel plates, concrete slabs and rubber mats.
