Abstract: A modular drainage device for kitchen sink comprises an L-shaped hollow body 101 with a first portion 102 connected to a sink drainage fitting and a second portion 103 connected to a drainage pipe, a user-interface inbuilt in a computing unit is wirelessly associated with the device for user commands, a motorized iris lid 104 embedded in first portion 102 for securing the body 101, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 mounted at first portion 102 detects incoming waste, wherein the microcontroller activates an air blower 106 mounted within body 101 to separate solid waste, directing it into a chamber 107 underneath, a suction unit 108 configured at midst portion of chamber 107 withdraws residual liquid waste from the chamber 107 and returns it to the body 101 for drainage and a weight sensor in the chamber 107 sends an alert when solid waste reaches a threshold.
