Abstract: A modular intraoral system for recording mandibular movement and jaw relations is disclosed. The system comprises an upper module and a lower module, each configured for attachment to a corresponding dental arch and incorporating inertial measurement units for detecting multi-axis motion. At least one module further includes magnetic field or proximity sensors for determining the relative spatial position between modules. A wireless communication interface transmits sensor data to an external processor, which reconstructs mandibular trajectories and computes jaw relation parameters including centric relation, vertical dimension, and excursive pathways. The invention enables accurate, repeatable, and digitally compatible jaw registration without external tracking devices, thereby improving prosthodontic workflow efficiency and reliability.
