Abstract: A modular dental spittoon hygiene device, comprises a pedestal mounted docking unit 101 configured to be detachably secured to a dental chair, a self-centering docking collar 102 integrated with the docking unit 101 and configured to automatically align with a spittoon bowl of varying geometry, a removable hygiene cartridge 103 configured to be detachably engaged with the docking unit 101 configured to facilitate cleaning, and a control unit operatively coupled to the cleaning assembly 201 and fluid pathway 104, the control unit being configured to execute a controlled multi-stage cleaning sequence, a UV-C (Ultraviolet) disinfection module 203 integrated within the removable hygiene cartridge 103 and configured to perform post-cleaning sterilization within the spittoon cavity.
