Abstract: A modular child seating system (100) has two side panels (10) carrying an array of engagement formations (14) in rows at spaced heights, together with base engagement formations (18). A seat platform (20) engages a selected row at two positions in each panel and thereby acts as the cross-member bracing the panels against racking, so no separate stretcher is needed at any seat height. A backrest (30) and accessory modules (40, 42) engage the same array. Either a stabilising base module (50) of larger support footprint (54) or a rocking base module (60) with arcuate rockers (62) may be fitted. A keying formation (16) at the uppermost row admits the seat platform (20) only when the stabilising base module (50) is fitted.
