Abstract: MODULAR AUGMENTED REALITY DRONE PILOT ASSISTANCE SYSTEM WITH 3D UAV VISUALIZATION AND NON-INVASIVE OVERLAY RENDERING The present invention discloses a modular augmented reality and virtual reality based drone pilot assistance system that enhances UAV navigation through real-time three-dimensional visualization and predictive safety guidance. The system utilizes drone telemetry data including IMU, GNSS, altitude, velocity, battery status, and flight mode state to generate a live structural representation of the UAV in an AR interface, thereby improving pilot situational awareness. A non- invasive overlay rendering architecture implemented through GPU texture composition or stream duplication ensures that AR elements are not embedded into the drone's recorded video output. An AI-based predictive safety module generates collision probability zones, unsafe trajectory cones, suggested altitude corridors, and thin-obstacle hazard markers. A platform-independent middleware layer supports DJI, PX4, and ArduPilot ecosystems and may further support multi-drone relative awareness.
