Abstract: ABSTRACT “MODIFIED GEL ELECTROPHORESIS APPARATUS FOR PROTEIN ANALYSIS AND METHOD THEREOF” The present invention specifically relates to a Modified Gel Electrophoresis Apparatus for Protein Analysis (MGEA) and method for precise and reliable protein separation in molecular biology and analytical biochemistry, integrating rigid acrylic tubes (1) with a self-locking ring (0.5 N/mm spring constant) driven by a base frame (2) with precision-machined grooves for automated leak-proof sealing. A pressure-sensitive piston actuator (3) equipped with a piezoelectric sensor (0.1-2 N sensitivity, 0.5 sec response) and an Arduino Nano micro-controller dynamically adjusts ejection force (5-10 N) for non-destructive gel removal. Upper buffer reservoir (4) and lower buffer reservoir (5), filled with Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 8.3), sustain a stable electric field, while an electrode assembly (6) with 0.5 mm platinum wire electrodes connected to a 150V power supply (±5% tolerance) facilitates protein migration. Constructed with accessible 3D-printable ABS plastic and off-the-shelf materials, the modular acrylic framework supports variable gel volumes (1-2 ml) tailored to sample count, ensuring operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. Housed in a compact, scalable design, the system enhances protein analysis workflows across clinical, research, and industrial laboratories through integrated automation and adaptability.
