Abstract: A mobility assistive device for disabled comprising a planar frame 101 developed to be installed on a staircase having an imaging unit to determine presence of a wheel chaired person, a proximity sensor for determining distance of wheelchair from lower end of staircase, a drawer arrangement 102 integrated with multiple plates 103 for establishing a ramp, an extendable L-shaped rod 104 integrated at corners of frame 101 to establish a rubber pad integrated at end of rod 104 on surface of staircase for stabilizing frame 101 on staircase, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of wheelchair’s wheels with respect to established ramp, a pair of robotic arms 105 arranged at lateral sides of ramp through a motorized sliding unit to translate arms 105 along sliding units for supporting wheelchair to get accommodated over ramp to aid a disabled user to get climb up staircase.
