MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109571 A) filed by G. L. Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management on September 12, 2026, for Mobile Route-Safety Monitoring System With Autonomous Graduated Intervention.

Inventors include Hemani Majhi; Janesh; Harshit Gupta; and Saijshree Srivastava.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a route-safety monitoring system having a mobile user device with a GNSS receiver, haptic actuator, wireless transceiver, and processor. The device sends packets containing geographic waypoints at spaced transmission times to a remote server storing baseline risk values for geographic micro-zones. An anomaly detector derives movement features from the packets and generates a movement-anomaly value relative to a learned normal movement pattern. A threat engine combines a current zone-risk value, the movement-anomaly value, time, crowd density, and route deviation into a composite threat score. Without a panic-button input, a response controller energizes the haptic actuator at a first threshold, sends a live-location link to a trusted-contact terminal at a second threshold, and transmits an emergency alert to an emergency terminal at a third threshold.
