MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621069157 A) filed by Sage University on June 02, 2026, for Mobile Robotic Apparatus For Autonomous Warehouse Navigation Using Temporal Decay Collision Avoidance.

Inventors include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Dr. Prashant Jain; Prof. Lokendra Vishwakarma; Dr. Anand Gadwal; Salvi Kushwah; and Eklavya Chouhan.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a mobile robotic apparatus (100) for autonomous warehouse navigation employing temporal decay collision avoidance. The apparatus comprises a printed circuit board (102) integrating a control circuitry (104), a wireless transceiver (112), and a motor drive circuit (108), and a memory (106) storing an occupancy field comprising a plurality of cells (110) wherein each cell has an occupancy value and a decay timestamp. The control circuitry (104) deposits occupancy markers with motion-state-dependent decay rates in cells corresponding to apparatus positions, decrements occupancy values based on elapsed time until reaching zero, receives wireless signals from other mobile robotic apparatuses (206) indicating deposited marker positions, updates occupancy values based on received signals, determines traversal paths avoiding occupied cells, and outputs motor drive signals for autonomous navigation. Stationary apparatuses receive slower decay rates than moving apparatuses, creating automatic spatial priority allocation without centralized coordination infrastructure. FIG. 1
