The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The titled invention discloses an loT-enabled smart shoe rehabilitation monitoring system for physiotherapy patients and individuals with lower-limb conditions. The system comprises a smart shoe (1 }, pressure sensors (2}, a motion sensor (3}, an electromyography sensor (4}, a microcontroller unit (5}, a feedback mechanism (6), and a power supply unit (7). The pressure sensors monitor plantar pressure distribution, while the motion sensor monitors gait 10 characteristics, balance, movement, and orientation. The electromyography sensor monitors muscle activation patterns during rehabilitation activities. The microcontroller unit processes the acquired data to identify abnormal rehabilitation conditions including pressure imbalance, . gait asymmetry, instability, and abnormal muscle activation. Upon detection of such conditions, the feedback mechanism provides vibration and visual alerts to assist user correction. The 15 processed rehabilitation data is wirelessly transmitted to a mobile application for monitoring, progress tracking, and remote rehabilitation assessment by clinicians and physiotherapists, thereby enabling continuous and objective rehabilitation support.
