MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641085629 A) filed by Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute Of Engineering Technology on July 13, 2026, for Mixed Reality-Based Campus Exploration And Navigation System For Educational Institutions.

Inventors include Mrs. N. Lakshmi Kalyani; Mr. Peddarapu Ramakrishna; Mrs. G. Laxmi Deepthi; and Mrs. K. Bhagya Rekha.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The level of sophistication brought to campus life with the introduction of the AR/VR based campus navigation system is absolutely astounding. With the help of augmented and virtual reality, this system makes navigating the campus much more interesting than scrolling through one’s mobile phone. It does not only assist the navigators but also permits them to submerge tiningto a captiva environment where they can interact with prominent buildings on the campus, be notified about the happenings in real-time, and get information regarding the different facilitates. This invention fosters intuition for students who find it increasingly difficult to get around the interfaces of big campuses by offering customized preferences and services in regard to how they would like to get around. With the help of interactive maps and other contextual displays, all users including students, visitors and staff are better enabled to orient themselves spatially, creating a more seamless experience.
