Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: Mixed Matrix Membrane and Membrane-Based Process Thereof for High-Selectivity Separation of Carbon Dioxide from Methane A thermally stable mixed matrix composite membrane (MMC) is provided that is fabricated based on a hydrophilic polymer, an amino functional moiety/amino compound, selectively including block copolymer, filler materials and supported by polyethersulfone gas-permeable support layer. The composite membrane demonstrated for the selective separation of at least one target gas from a binary gaseous mixture, showing high selectivity for CO2/CH4 ranging from about 44-328 and a CO2 permeance ranging from about 36to 350 GPU via a synergic combination of solution-diffusion transport mechanism, molecular sieving and facilitated transport mechanism under both dry and humid conditons that’s overcomes the traditional permeability–selectivity trade-off limitations.
