The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A microcatheter for performing canaloplasty / trabeculotomy procedure on an eye of an individual includes a fiber-optic cable (102) and a connector (104) to facilitating tearing of a trabecular meshwork within the eye allowing draining of an aqueous fluid therewithin. The fiber-optic cable (102) includes a receiving end (102A) and a delivery end (102B) that has a first predefined diameter that is greater than the receiving end (102A)’s diameter. The connector (104) is configured on the receiving end (102A) of the fiber-optic cable (102) to hold a plurality of optical fibers of the fiber-optic cable (102) therewithin facilities the plurality of optical fiber to receive light rays from the receiving end (102A). The delivery end (102B)’s first predefined diameter widens the illumination of the received light rays reaching the delivery end (102B) for being projected circumferentially around a Schlemm’s canal of the eye to create a trajectory.
