MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611100470 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 20, 2026, for Micro-Steering Stability Assistance And Haptic Rider Warning System For Two-Wheelers.
Inventors include Kushal Sinha; Kusum Lata; and Taruna Chugh.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a micro-steering stability assistance and haptic rider warning system for two-wheelers, which continuously monitors riding dynamics to identify conditions such as skidding, excessive tilt, or rider drowsiness, and proactively initiates micro-steering correction within a range of 0.3° to 2.5°, applies a controlled brake pre-assist, and generates synchronized haptic feedback comprising a mild electrical pulse and vibration through the handlebar grips to immediately restore rider alertness. The system integrates an edge-based motion classification module, a micro-servo or electromagnetic steering actuator, a compact brake modulation mechanism, and a medical-grade haptic feedback module within a compact, waterproof, and universally mountable handlebar housing. The system performs predictive intervention before loss of vehicle control, thereby improving rider stability under hazardous road conditions. The device operates on a rechargeable power source, supports selectable rider alert modes, and uniquely combines real-time micro-steering assistance with physiological rider re-engagement to provide comprehensive pre-crash accident prevention.
