MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119334 A) filed by Sr University on October 06, 2026, for Micro-Sensor Patch Network System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Guda Bhargavi; and Yelipeddi Mahipal Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: MICRO-SENSOR PATCH NETWORK SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT A disposable micro-sensor patch network system (100) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising sensor patches (102) for deployment on millet leaves, millet stems, or field support structures; a sensing layer (104) to detect pest-induced volatile emissions and pathogen-induced volatile emissions specific to millet crops; a communication unit (106) operatively coupled with the sensor patches (102); a field gateway unit (108) configured to receive the patch-level sensing data transmitted from the sensor patches (102); and a processing unit (110). The system (100) is configured to receive the patch-level sensing data associated with physiological stress conditions in the millet crops; perform pattern-recognition analysis on the patch- level sensing data using an early-warning algorithm for identification of pre-symptomatic pest activity and disease development; activate an event-triggered operating mode upon detection of the pre-symptomatic pest activity and the disease development; and generate pest-risk alerts and disease-risk alerts based on the pattern- recognition analysis. Claims: 10, Figures: 4 Figure 1 is selected.
