Abstract: Disclosed herein is a micro inoculation device (100) that comprises a handheld reusable body (102) having a handle (104) developed to perform micro inoculation, a micro transfer tip (106) detachably connected to a distal end of the reusable body (102) and adapted to adhere microbial inoculum, a micro volume pickup unit (108) operatively integrated within micro transfer tip (106) and configured to collect a predefined quantity of microbial inoculum, a sterilization chamber (110) arranged on a top portion of the micro transfer tip (106) and configured to sterilize the micro transfer tip (106) before and after microbial transfer, a tip handling unit (112) installed on the reusable body (102) and configured to remove and dispose the used micro transfer tip (106), an indicator (114) installed on outer portion of the reusable body (102) and configured to generate visual feedback regarding microbial transfer status and a control unit connected to the device (100) and configured to regulate operational parameters of the device (100).
