Inventor includes Sundardas Raghunath Gore.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT MICRO-FENESTRATED THERAPEUTIC CONTACT LENS SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLED DIFFUSION, OPTICAL MODULATION, AND CORNEAL INTERFACE REGULATION A micro-fenestrated therapeutic contact lens system for regulated diffusion and corneal interface control is disclosed. The system comprises a lens body formed of a biocompatible material, a central optical zone within the lens body configured for visual clarity and substantially free of micro-fenestrations, and a plurality of micro-fenestrations arranged in at least one peripheral or patterned therapeutic zone surrounding the central optical zone. The plurality of micro-fenestrations have predefined dimensional and spatial parameters configured to permit controlled diffusion of tear fluid, gases, and therapeutic agents between a pre-lens region and a post-lens region at the corneal interface. The micro-fenestrations are further configured such that eyelid blinking induces pulsatile micro-fluidic exchange through at least a subset of the micro-fenestrations, promoting renewal of post-lens tear fluid and reducing stagnation of exudate. The system is compatible with corneal cross-linking, drug delivery, keratoconus management, and ocular surface disease treatment. [
