Inventors include Nitish Kumar Singh; and Yogesh Bambal.

Abstract: Wrapped comestible products and method for wrapping comestible products include a comestible product and a wrapper bunch-wrapped about the comestible product and forming a hermetic seal with itself to seal the comestible product within the wrapper. The wrapper includes a base layer comprising a sheet of material having dead- fold properties and a sealing layer applied on one side of the base layer, wherein the sealing layer is formed from a material that bonds to itself to form a hermetic seal by application of at least one of heat and pressure, wherein the hermetic seal is a seal that forms a gas barrier that reduces the ingress of gas through the seal such that gas permeates through the sheet of material, and wherein the material of the sealing layer is food-safe.
