The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a method (100) for visualising morphology of filamentous fungi that comprises preparing a culture of filamentous fungi (100) on a solid culture medium (102), transferring a portion of the solid culture medium (102) containing fungal growth to form an agar block (104) positioned on a glass slide (106), inoculating the agar block (104) with a fungal suspension (108) such that fungal elements are embedded within the agar block (104), applying a staining compositions (110) onto the agar block (104), the staining composition (110) comprising crystal violet (112) and dilute carbol fuchsin (114), maintaining the staining composition (110) in contact with the agar block (104) for a predetermined duration, performing controlled washing of the agar block (104) using a washing solution (116) to reduce excess staining and achieve optimal visualisation, observing morphology of the filamentous fungi directly form the agar block (104) using a microscopy unit (118).
