Abstract: Disclosed is a method (1300) for generating a noise-pattern image. The method includes receiving (1302) an input image from an imaging device and generating (1304) a patch-wise randomised image based on repetitive grain patterns extracted from the input image. Further, the method includes generating (1306), using a first machine learning model, a coarse grain image based on the patch-wise randomized image. Furthermore, the method includes generating (1308), using a second machine learning model, a refined grain image based on the coarse grain image. Moreover, the method includes generating (1310) a per-pixel fused film grain image based on the refined grain image. Further, the method includes generating (1312) the noise-pattern image based on merging one or more of: the refined grain image, the per-pixel fused film grain image with the input image, thereby improving texture representation of the input image.
