The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETERMINNG DROWSINESS DEGREE OF DRIVER AND PERFORMING PREVENTIVE ACTIONS THEREOF The disclosure relates generally to methods and systems for determining drowsiness degree of driver and performing preventive actions for alerting the driver, nearby vehicles, and pedestrians. Conventional drowsiness detection techniques and systems such as facial recognition, eye tracking, steering behavior analysis, and so on are not accurate and efficient for all driving scenarios. The present disclosure makes use of neural network-based techniques for determining drowsiness degree of driver based on vehicle parameters and perform preventive actions. An audio-visual warning is provided to drivers when drowsiness degree is beyond the first threshold. Warnings are provided to other vehicles and pedestrians, through external lamps and horns when the drowsiness degree is beyond second threshold and the engine / motor torque is cut to zero or minimum level. Emergency brakes are applied when drowsiness degree is beyond the third threshold, and the status of the emergency brake is published over vehicle network. [
