The method comprising, receiving, at a bulk food management system, event information, the event information comprising event details and food vendor details, the event details comprising information identifying an event date, event location and a plurality of event guests, the food vendor details comprising information identifying a plurality of food vendors; receiving, at the bulk food management system, selection, for each of the plurality of guest, of one or more food items from the plurality of food vendors; automatically generating an electronic label for each selected food item; and sending, to each of the plurality of vendors, the generated electronic labels for the selected food items from that food vendor. Sending an electronic label for a selected food item to a food vendor may cause a labelled version of the food item to be delivered to the event location on the event date.
