Abstract: ABSTRACT METHODS AND SIGNALLING FOR OPERATING A-IOT DEVICES Methods and signaling for operating A-IoT devices are described. In one implementation, a method of operating A-IoT devices comprises monitoring, by a first node, for a paging signal. The first node determines initiation of access procedure. The first node transmits a first signal compris-ing at least one of a randomly generated identity, a feedback related to the paging signal, at least one value, and a message type. The first node 006Donitors for a random ID response message, and receives the random ID response message. The first node initiates transmission of a second signal when the randomly generated identity is present in the random ID response message, or a frequen-cy index associated with the random ID response message matches with a value of the frequency resource used for transmission of the first signal.
