Abstract: ABSTRACT “METHODS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR BLOCK WISE INTRA PREDICTION FOR IMAGE FRAME” Accordingly, embodiments herein discloses a method for data driven based block wise intra prediction for a current block in an image frame by an electronic device (502). The method includes obtaining an encoded image bitstream including at least one of: a reference-selection index and a patch-generation index corresponding to the current block. The method further includes selecting a set of neighboring reconstructed pixel for the current block, based on the reference-selection index. Further, the method includes generating at least one reference patch using the selected set of neighboring reconstructed pixels and the patch-generation index. The method further includes predicting a plurality of pixels corresponding to the current block based on the plurality of generated reference patches using a data driven module. The method further comprises composing the intra prediction for the current block by re-arranging the predicted set of pixels. FIG. 6
