Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses for both an intra-BS (base station) lower layer-Triggered Mobility (LTM) procedure and an inter-BS LTM procedure. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a centralized unit (CU) of a base station (BS) includes at least one memory and at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and configured to cause the CU to: receive, from a source distributed unit (DU) of the BS, information related to one or more candidate cells associated with a lower layer-triggered mobility (LTM) cell switch of a user equipment (UE) from a source cell of the source DU towards a candidate cell; and transmit both information related to the one or more candidate cells and the received information to a candidate DU of the BS or to another CU of another BS, wherein the candidate cell is related to the candidate DU or the another CU.
