MUMBAI, India, June 19 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617054769 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings, Inc. on April 29, 2026, for Methods, Architectures, Apparatuses And Systems For Low-Power Wake-Up Signal Cell Selection Based On Energy Storage Status And Cell Type.
Inventors include Kwak, Young Woo; Lee, Moon Il; and Khan Beigi, Nazli.
The application for the patent was published on June 05, 2026, under issue no. 23/2026.
Abstract: Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products for low-power wake-up signal, LP-WUS, cell selection. A wireless transmit-receive unit, WTRU, may indicate information related to WTRU capability for cell selection procedure to a gNB. The WTRU may indicate its type of low- power wake-up receiver, LP-WUR, e.g., a first type of WTRU has no energy harvesting capability, a second type has energy harvesting but no energy storing capability, a third type has energy harvesting and energy storing capabilities. The WTRU may receive one or more cell configurations. The cell configurations may indicate a first cell type, where a cell transmits both energy harvesting sequence and low-power synchronization signal, LP-SS, and a second cell type that transmits only LP-SS. The WTRU may select, or prioritize for selection, cells based on the WTRU type, energy storage status, and cell type.
