The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A method (300) of regulating burden preparation for an iron making process in a blast furnace (102) is disclosed. The method (300) includes determining (301), by a control unit (202), one or more properties of slag being generated during the iron making process. The one or more properties including at least one of viscosity or liquidus temperature of the slag. The method further includes evaluating (302) a fluidity index of the slag. Further, a range of the fluidity index of the slag for regulating the iron making process, is predicted by the control unit. A slag profile of the slag produced in the iron making process, based on predicted range of the fluidity index of the slag, is determined by the control unit. The method further includes regulating (305) the burden preparation based on the determined slag profile, by varying composition of the burden being fed into the blast furnace.
