Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD OF PERSISTENCE-GATED CONFLICT VERIFICATION AND ISOLATED PARAMETER ADMISSION FOR A MOBILE ROBOT A method operates a mobile robot (100) having sensing modalities (104), a range sensor (106) on a movable actuator (108), a motor driver (118), and an embedded controller (116) navigating under an active configuration (130). A disagreement among the sensing modalities (104), or with an occupancy map (128), is assigned to a spatial region whose persistence state increments on recurrence and decays over time. Upon a first threshold, a conflict localization record with an angular sector is generated, and the movable actuator (108) is commanded to sector-derived orientations for verification observations. The disagreement is classified as transient, sensor- specific, or systematic. For the systematic class, a bounded diagnostic representation is sent to an external evaluation host (124); a returned advisory recovery descriptor is checked against embedded constraints, evaluated in a shadow configuration (132) blocked from the motor driver (118), promoted, and rolled back upon degradation.
