Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for developing a novel bio NPK microbial consortium comprising Talaromyces albobiverticillius HNB9 and Enterobacter cloacae CS1 (SK4) for plant growth promotion. The method includes isolation, molecular identification, biosafety assessment, dual co-culture compatibility testing, optimization of co-culture conditions, and bioreactor-based upscaling to obtain a stable consortium having viable fungal spore density of about 5 × 107 spores mL?¹ and bacterial cell density of about 5 × 107 CFU mL?¹. The consortium enhances nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, and potassium solubilization, resulting in improved plant biomass, chlorophyll content, and macronutrient uptake in wheat and fenugreek under controlled conditions. The invention provides an environmentally sustainable alternative to chemical fertilizers, improving soil fertility and crop productivity through synergistic microbial interaction.
