Abstract: Provided are a method for transmitting a reference signal, a terminal device, and a network device. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving first configuration information sent by a network device, wherein the first configuration information is used for configuring reference signals, which comprise a first-type reference signal and a second-type reference signal; the transmission resource that can be used for transmitting the first-type reference signal is a first-type transmission resource, and the transmission resource that can be used for transmitting the second-type reference signal is a second-type transmission resource; and the first-type transmission resource is not used for transmitting signals other than the first-type reference signal, and the second-type transmission resource can be used for transmitting signals other than the second-type reference signal. In the embodiments of the present application, a network device can send first configuration information to a terminal device, so as to configure a first-type reference signal and a second-type reference signal at the same time, thereby improving the communication quality while reducing the transmission overhead of the reference signals.
