Abstract: Provided are a method for transmitting or receiving a control plane message through a fronthaul interface, and an electronic device for performing same. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a radio unit (RU), a management plane message including information on a control plane message supported by the RU; on the basis of the management plane message, generating a first control plane message including a field indicating a first UE ID and a first section extension field; and transmitting the first control plane message to the RU through a fronthaul interface. The first section extension field may include a parameter indicating the number of UE IDs of a user associated with the first UE ID. The first control plane message may be transmitted with a period longer than a slot.
