MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617077318 A) filed by Delft Advanced Biofuels B. V. on June 23, 2026, for Method For The Recovery Of A Biocatalytically Produced Product From An Organic Fluid Stream.
Inventors include Oudshoorn, Arjan; and Van Lotringen, Marion.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the recovery of a biocatalytically produced organic product from a fluid stream (S0) originating from a biocatalytic reactor, the fluid stream comprising an organic liquid phase (L1), comprising the product; an aqueous liquid phase (L2); solid matter (SM), comprising a) removing solid matter from S0, L1, L2 or from an organic fluid stream (S1) obtained in (b); b) separating L2 at least substantially off from S0, thereby forming an organic fluid stream (S1), which organic fluid stream (S1) is enriched in biocatalytically produced product, compared to the fluid stream (S0) originating from the biocatalytic reactor; and c) if desired, after removing solid matter and separating the aqueous liquid phase (L2) at least substantially from the organic liquid phase (L1), recovering the biocatalytically produced product from the organic fluid stream (S1).
