Abstract: METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF FLEXIBLE TEXTILE CATALYSTS FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION AND ENERGY STORAGE The present invention introduces a cost-effective and scalable process for synthesizing flexible textile-based catalysts for hydrogen (H2) production and energy storage. As global energy demands grow, hydrogen production 7 via water electrolysis is seen as a promising solution for clean energy, but current catalysts, mainly based on precious metals, are expensive and scarce. The proposed textile-based catalysts address these limitations by utilizing low-cost, abundant materials, while maintaining high catalytic activity for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER). Additionally, supercapacitors, which are essential for bridging energy storage gaps, face challenges like material limitations and inflexible designs. By integrating 14 flexible textiles into supercapacitor electrodes, this innovation not only enhances energy storage capabilities but also enables wearable and portable applications. The dual functionality of the system, combining hydrogen production and energy storage, offers scalable, sustainable solutions for clean energy technologies, opening new avenues in flexible electronics and energy systems.
